Bruce Bremer is the president of Bremer Energy Consulting Services, Inc. and throughout my career I have developed an extensive knowledge of energy engineering, facility engineering and overall energy program management. I have the ability to work hands on at the floor or to direct a corporate energy management program. I have developed a unique vision of energy program strategies and energy reduction strategies that are essential for a successful energy program.
I have over 35 years of experience in the energy and facility discipline and I started my career managing computerized energy management systems for commercial buildings. As I progressed through my career I have managed energy programs for airports, government organizations, universities, commercial buildings and industrial plants.
Past Experience:
The heart of my career was working for a worldwide organization called Toyota Engineering and Manufacturing where I was responsible for the North America corporate energy program across 14 plants equating to 30 million square feet of manufacturing space. My energy responsibilities included program development, sustainability, new technologies, reporting, internal education, supplier development, benchmarking, assessments, utility supply strategies and a host of other activities. During this time our energy program received energy awards ( 6 consecutive years) from the EPA Energy Star program, Corporate Energy award from the Association of Energy Engineers and energy awards from the State of Kentucky. Our program results and methods were also published in many magazine and newspaper articles. During my term at Toyota I was also responsible for the facility operations and maintenance of utility and building equipment, new plant utility infrastructure negotiations, key performance indicators, best practice sharing and overall efficiency improvements.
